A little something about me:

I am currently working as a design specialist for a advertising company in Houston, TX called G4 Creative. Where I create web sites, corporate branding and other print material for an array of clients in the Houston area and internationally.

I started my venture into the design field in 2000 when I enrolled into college at the Art Institute of Houston, where I studied graphic design. In 2003 I earned a associates degree in graphic design. After working in the field for a couple years I decided to further my knowledge in design and enrolled into American InterContinental University where I studied visual communications. That is where I fell in love with web design. In 2005 I graduated with a bachelors degree in visual communications.

I started my career with a small design firm called Wayne Blake & Associates in Houston, Texas in 2002. There I got my first taste of what it takes to be a graphic designer. I was at the bottom of the totem pole and was assigned to a lot of production and pre press work.

After a year of working production I was offered a job with a local family resource magazine called The Kid's Directory. This is where I learned how to work in a fast paced atmosphere. I was creating small advertisements for over 200 companies and designing publication layouts on a monthly bases. I continued this job for 2 years and decided that I needed to further my career.

In 2005 I moved on to a communications company called Phonoscope Communications where I became their sole graphic designer. I designed channel lineups, marketing material and brochures for their cable and data customers. I also redesigned both of their web sites phonoscopecable.com and phonescope.com.

Around the same time that I started with Phonoscope I started to venture out into the freelance world. I started out doing small projects like business cards and brochures and then started to get more into web design. In 2007 G4 Creative gave me a call and asked me to do a few projects for them and that later turned into a full time position as their design specialist.

Today I am working full time with G4 and doing freelance for many clients in the Houston area. My clients range from companies in the interior design field to the medical field. I am always looking for a challenge.
